If you are looking for a peaceful holiday, Menorca might be just what you are looking for. It is the most calm and serene of all the Islands. In requisites of the size it is the second largest of the Balearic Islands. Menorca is only a 2 and half hour flight from the UK. The sea and sand are not the only attractions of the island, but also its abundant rich history.

The south of the island is where you will find out most of the established resorts, for example, Cala en Porter and Cala 'n Forcat where there are superb beaches, many shops and numerous restaurants for you to choose from. If you are staying at Cala 'n Forcat you really should not miss the water park - a great day out for all of the family.

Following along the south coast there are several quieter resorts where many people enjoy staying because of their close proximity to the airport,
Son Bou is a complete comparison to many of the small beaches, it goes on for almost two miles and it is a perfect spot for an exciting holiday.


The extreme south western coast of the island proffers us the resort of Cala 'n Bosch which is a new resort placed adjacent to the relatively more developed area of Cala Blanca. Cala 'n Bosch are popular with British holiday makers and have many apartments, private villas and a couple of decent sized hotels.

The holiday island of Menorca is one of the best destinations in Europe for snorkeling. Menorca is a UNESCO voted Biosphere Reserve. Some of the most popular snorkeling coves in Menorca includes Cala Galdana, Cales Coves, Cala Mitjana, Es Grau and Macarella.

The classic village fishing village of Binbeca Vell boasts some fine examples of architecture along with the white painted houses stranding proud against the blue sky. One of the most popular places in the North of Menorca is Fornells Bay, a popular and unspoilt fishing village with a great selection of eateries on the harbour. Menorca offers a diverse dining selection of Spanish, Italian, and Mediterranean influence. Accommodation ranges from self catering studio apartments to luxury five star hotels offering high-quality services.


Menorca weather is predictable. June, July, and August are suitable for beach dwellers and snorkelers while the winter months are adequate for mountain climbers and sightseers. It is an ideal place for an exciting vacation.
